Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer (Level 2) for the Flight Simulation Labs Hardware Interface Systems group, located in Berkeley, MO. The Flight Simulation Labs organization has expertise supporting marketing, design, development, integration, test and training objectives for Boeing Military Aircraft. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will create and implement solutions to complex problems that support lab development and execution of simulation environments for the T-7, F-15, and F/A-18 programs. This position will support the project execution for the full product design life cycle including: requirements, design, acceptance test procedures, and associated engineering maintenance support. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, engaging with multiple teams and being responsive to agile requirements and critical path customer need dates. Position Responsibilities: Work to design, procure, build, integrate, and test Special Test Equipment, including Flight Simulators, Trainers, Manned Flight Hardware Simulators, Facility Infrastructure and Avionic Test Benches. Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and internal/external Program customers Support root-cause analysis/troubleshooting to identify and sort actual problems from non-problems. Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 1+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in design, integration, and test of electrical systems Experience in avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role Experience developing or integrating avionics or mission systems Experience in Agile Software Development and JIRA Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
