Position Description

We are immediately hiring a strongAssociate Director of Product Marketingto join our growing team in the New York City office.


The Associate Director will be responsible for defining and executing Go-To-Market strategy for Activate.

The person in this role must have strong buy-side (tech or agency) experience, have proven expertise in core PMM skillsets, with a keen ability to tell a story, as well as strength in positioning, launches, market intelligence and sales enablement. This role can expect to be in front of customers and therefore should have proven presentation skillsets.

Additionally, this candidate should have adept communication skills and be able to adapt to many different levels and roles, both internally and externally. This role will be expected to translate our product vision and roadmap into prioritized GTM Plans and Solution Programs, aligned with key stakeholders and business leaders across the organization. As such, being fluent in dealing with complexity at a global level, across multiple channels, across multiple product lines, and with regard to multiple competitors and partners will be key.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have in-depth strategic experience in market analysis, positioning and messaging, research and intelligence strategy, solution definition, competitive analysis, communication, pricing, packaging and promotion of key products and solutions

Your success will be measured by specific product marketing success metrics and program OKRs tied to your ability to:

  • Partner with Product Management and Commercial Leads to co-pilot strategic development of GTM Launch Planning for your product area
  • Own core product marketing deliverables across: end-to-end GTM launch planning for all release levels, product demos for sales training, learning and development; product-based demand generation assets, product positioning and messaging playbooks
  • Leverage an ABM framework
  • Lead in cross-functional team alignmentacross product, commercial, legal, marketing and others
  • Communicate, educate , and evangelize new product advancements to our commercial sales teams
  • Own product adoption and usage engagement rates for new product feature releases
  • Develop GTM marketing programs that influence pipeline revenue and velocity
  • Be the key subject-matter-expert in understanding each stage of the Consumer Decision Journey, by ICP, persona, regional market, industry, vertical, and business category
  • Partner with the Commercial teams to bring new releases and major product launches into the PubMatic sales playbook and drive account expansion opportunities (upsell/cross sell)
  • Align with Corporate Marketing to help drive air coverage and thought leadership, and be a co-chair to PubMatic-hosted events and Industry conference sponsorships that require targeted sales enablement planning, content, and messaging plays
  • Familiarity with an advanced marketing tech stack, such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Pendo, HighSpot or Responsive
Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in technical product marketing, ideally within buy-side digital advertising (ad tech provider, DSP, agency , or client direct) or marketing technology company
  • 3+ years in buy side experience (technology company, agency , or client direct)
  • The candidate should have a deep understanding of the Online Advertising industry, a passion for technology, and the drive to work in a start-up environment
  • Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content
  • Creative thinking around innovative messaging and presentation strategies a must; roll up your sleeves to create/drive visual tools to sell/explain products and services
  • Proven track record with delivery in a fast-paced environment and the organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of working closely with Product Management teams to develop GTM strategies for driving adoption
  • Strong understanding of technology, product development and innovation
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, writing, & presentation skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests

Compensation Data

Base Compensation Range: $155,000-170,000

In accordance with applicable law, the above salary range provided is PubMatic's reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units and a competitive benefits package.
