Responsibilities:


Associate Director - Business Insights & Analytics is responsible for effectively and efficiently deploying analytics solutions in support of Brands/Functions and the BI&A team. The Associate Director will develop a deep understanding of various US Affiliate data sources, build an understanding of marketing tactics and strategies, and act as a player-coach by both conducting analyses as well a lead other colleagues within BI&A to deliver analytical insights. The Associate Director will communicate analytical outputs to stakeholders in a way that drives key business decisions and will be a vital contributor to the integration and coordination of analytics and data throughout Lilly USA. This position reports to Senior Director-BI&A.

  • Understand Brand/Business Unit strategies, market dynamics, and data sources to ensure analytics recommendations and key workstreams align to the broader organizational strategy

  • Develop and manage relationships with brand and cross-functional partners

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement analytical solutions that provide data driven insights, help answer critical questions and meet business partner decision needs

  • Lead the design and execution of analytic priorities through India based BI&A teammates (LCCI)

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Democratization teams on deliverables in a seamless delivery model

  • Ensure business decisions are made with solid supporting evidence grounded in analytics that include actionable business insights and recommendations through effective communication

  • Proactively partner and communicate across functions for shared learning and to continue to elevate our analytics practice

  • Facilitate the documentation of code and methodology to increase reusability and efficiency across BI&A

  • Manage and partner with external vendors when necessary

  • Ensure compliance with all privacy and contractual obligations related to the use of data

  • Other Key Initiatives / Special Projects as needed


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance with four years of experience in an analytics function or bachelor's degree with at least six years' experience in an analytics function

  • Competence in a coding Language (R, SAS, SQL, etc)


Additional Preferences:

  • Advanced competence in Coding Language (R, SAS, SQL, etc)

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen and the ability to think strategically and independently in an ambiguous environment

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Relevant experience identifying, prioritizing, and communicating analytical workstreams to business stakeholders.

  • Strong track record in delivering complex cross functional projects

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail

  • Broad awareness and working knowledge of statistical modeling

  • Experience with prescription claims data

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence individuals from executive to associate levels
