Associate Director, Kohler Home Services, Houston

Opportunity

Kohler Company, the rated consumer brand in plumbing manufacturing, is looking for an Associate Director to launch the Kohler Services business in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to build a high-performing team from the ground up and responsible for overall management and performance of the Houston location. The primary responsibility is to maximize shareholder return by effectively managing the entire team including marketing, sales, production, and overall satisfactory customer experience. All while setting clear expectations concerning use, leverage, and protection of the KOHLER Brand.

The Kohler Service business is responsible for all aspects of the customer experience from lead generation to installation. This is a newly created team where you'll have the opportunity to work directly with our end consumers and bring their bath & shower space vision to life.

Specific Responsibilities

  • The Associate Director will primarily work with the Sales and Operations Managers, they will also work closely with marketing, finance, and Human Resources managers/departments. They will be responsible for motivating and leading each direct report to achieve the predetermined agreed upon goals and maintain the exceptional customer service focus of the entire team.
  • Meet daily with each direct report to discuss relevant topics/issues preventing or delaying accomplishment of agreed upon goals or action plans.
  • Analyze in real-time key performance indicators and be able to respond with solutions to close performance gaps rapidly. Include input of each pertinent department head regarding action plans.
  • Develop insight and understanding into each department heads assigned role and expectations including advertising and marketing plans, lead generation, call center operations, sales conversion, installation process and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop an expertise relative to a specialty remodeler dealer and the unique issues related to the Home Improvement Industry.
  • Establish a corporate culture of exceeding customer expectations and a continual striving for excellence. This will be accomplished by efficiencies and focused determination of daily performance of the entire team.
  • Provide routine feedback to the Kohler Direct Response Business Team as requested to help in the continuous improvement of our business.
  • Responsible for the site level P&L and site level inventory control.
  • Responsible for the overall building, facility maintenance, installation truck and sales car fleets.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. 8+ years of experience required, with 5+ years in Business Management, Account Management, or related field.
  • Experience in the Building Products or Home Improvement Industry is preferred.
  • Proven leadership attributes and the demonstrated ability to set clear objectives and to drive results in a cross functional environment are required.

Travel

  • Approximately 20%

The salary range for this position is $145,200 - $186,700. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
