Job Summary: As the Associate Director for MSAT, this role is responsible for leading and managing a team to complete tasks in MSAT function such as technology transfer, know-how transfer, and troubleshooting to achieve project goals and milestones. This role will be responsible for internal and external communication regarding MSAT functions. This role will also lead the alignment of overall platform strategy and practice and new technology between local PD/MSAT/MFG teams and other global PD/MSAT/MFG teams. Responsibilities: Engages and supports business and manufacturing strategic and operational goals. Engages and supports Quality vision, mission, and system. Provides technical leadership as well as scientific and operational excellence expertise to the MFG/MSAT team to ensure successful project delivery. Defines operational manufacturing strategy and objectives for MSAT group. Identifies emerging operation-related risks and ensures communication within the operational/functional department. Supports manufacturing in CAPEX projects and provides necessary contributions for the specific setup. Cultivates a departmental culture that is open to changes or new ideas, cooperative teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsible for the recruitment, training, development, coaching, decisions, and discipline issues of employees as well as resources and vacation planning or approval. Ensures proper execution of all people management activities including training, development, and retention according to the needs of the MSAT group. Cascades information between top management and team members Ensures cGMP rules and regulations are followed. Provides cross-functional training for other functions as needed. Works collaboratively with PD team to identify and develop new biologics manufacturing technology platforms. Leads the efforts for technical/operational alignment with global counterparts to achieve 'One Team One Platform' with global best practices. Attends industry conferences and events to explore new cutting-edge technologies with potential business benefits. Qualifications: PhD in Biological Science or related Science/Engineer major with minimum 3-year hands-on experience in biologics cGMP manufacturing or process development; Master's degree with minimum 5-year hands-on experience; Extensive managerial experience in team development and new site establishment. Experience in CRDMO company would be a plus. Knowledge of cGMP standards and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry and a detailed understanding of the principles and concepts in relation to drug substance development. Strong communication skills, good multi-tasking ability, fast learning, and competence in fast-paced work environment. Strong awareness of teamwork with an optimistic work attitude.
