Salary/Position Classification $90,000+ commensurate with experience 9-month contract with potential of summer contract, Exempt 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability: No Purpose of Position The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations. The CNPD is seeking an associate dean to assist in the operations of the CNPD. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and chairpersons of the CNPD, faculty, other UND departments and community members to ensure effective administration. The position is open to any tenured faculty from any of the three professional disciplines within our college: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, or Social Work. Any funded research in areas relative to these disciplines will contribute to the CNPD mission. Subject to approval by the University and State Board of Higher Education, this is a tenured position, and an appointment will be made at a rank consistent with experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will have qualifications consistent with the rank of Associate or Full Professor. This position is on campus, in person. Duties & Responsibilities Associate Dean Duties include but are not limited to: Serve as senior member of the CNPD administrative team Engage in activities to further develop the faculty's teaching, research, scholarly and creative activity potential Support the college's commitment to diversity and service to underserved populations Formulate and implement programs to further faculty and staff recruitment and retention In collaboration with the Dean and Chairpersons, oversee formulation and implementation of strategic plans for the college Facilitate continuous process improvement initiatives in the college Supervision of designated faculty and staff employees Administrative tasks related to internal operations of the CNPD, including policies, procedures and accreditation reports Contribute to effective management of financial resources, including budget planning and management in the college Support the college's efforts to educate the healthcare workforce to ensure state-of-the-art skills Serve as the Dean's representative at various events and meetings, as requested Funded research and/or teaching The associate dean position can provide 25% flexibility to accommodate continued work on funded research and/or teaching, if desired. Teaching options would be dependent on the professional disciplines within the CNPD, area of expertise and respective department needs. Required Competencies

Excellent interprofessional and communication skills (both oral and written) working in a diverse, multi-cultural environment Minimum Requirements Doctoral degree that qualifies the applicant in any of the 3 disciplines within the college 5 years experience in academic administration Ability to obtain licensure in ND in one of the 3 college disciplines Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
