As a member of the Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ACNO will be responsible for overseeing effective day-to-day operations, short and long range planning, strategic marketing and business plan development to ensure marketplace competitiveness, the development of new services and programs, effective fiscal management, and effective quality improvement and quality control processes.

The Associate Chief Nursing Officer will be recommending and implementing innovative organizational structures and delivery models which support the safe and effective provision of patient care, treatment and services and the development and support of a practice environment, which enables the recruitment and retention of a high functioning staff.

The Associate Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for the provision of nursing services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The ACNO will establish one standard of nursing practice throughout the organization and is final authority over staff who provide nursing care, treatment and services, and is responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.
