Job DetailsSeeking litigation associate for professional liability/medical negligence group with reputable trial firm in Chicago, IL.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will be working in a hybrid office/remote setting to defend high-exposure matters during all phases of litigation to represent and defend hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, and individual healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing expert witness and trial strategy
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting pleadings and dispositive motions
- Representing clients during courtroom appearances and arguments.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 6 years' practice in civil litigation with experience in conducting and defending depositions preferred.
- Excellent research skills, writing skills, and verbal communication required.
- Illinois license is mandatory.
- Indiana license is a benefit.
