Job Details

Duties and responsibilities:

The Personal Injury Attorney will have the responsibility of independently managing a large caseload of which 95%-98% will be motor vehicle accident cases. The caseload will predominantly consist of pre-suit cases with some litigation duties. Responsibilities therefore include, but are not limited to, the following:

Providing legal support and guidance to clients
Finding ethical solutions to legal matters
Negotiating settlements with insurance carriers
Covering PIP recorded statements and PIP Examinations Under Oath
Otherwise handling case management from inception to completion
Staying informed about any current legislation and case law
Building trustworthy relationships with clients
Drafting pleadings, written discovery and motions
Arguing motions and covering depositions

Qualification and Experience:

Florida licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
Superior oral and written advocacy skills
Familiar with the Clerk of the Court Portal
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney handling personal injury cases
Must have knowledge of federal and state statues, court rules, forms, processes, and procedures that apply to personal injury practice in Florida including Fla. Stat. 627.736, 627.727, 768.76
