We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Associate specializing in MedMal Defense. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for medical malpractice defense to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our team, providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients in the healthcare industry. This role involves a blend of in-office and remote work, offering a great deal of flexibility and the opportunity to balance your professional and personal life effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Play a pivotal role in the defense of medical malpractice claims, including case analysis, pre-trial preparation, trial strategy development, and representation in court.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to identify all potential defense strategies.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents with precision and a keen eye for detail.
4. Provide expert legal advice to clients in the healthcare industry, helping them navigate complex medical malpractice issues.
5. Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy is developed and implemented.
6. Stay abreast of current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice to provide the most effective defense possible.
7. Handle all aspects of General Liability claims, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.

Qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years' experience in medical malpractice defense.
4. Extensive knowledge of General Liability.
5. Proven expertise in legal writing, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents accurately and efficiently.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop effective defense strategies.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficiency in utilizing legal research tools and software.
11. Willingness to travel as required for case investigation and trial representation.
