Job Details

The firm is seeking a full time Associate Attorney to assist in the management and litigation of its busy and growing Criminal Defense practice. Existing attorneys in private practice, solo/small firm practitioners, and current Assistant Public Defenders/Assistant State Attorneys are all invited to apply. This attorney will be based in the firm's main office in Orlando, and will handle all manner of criminal cases, including felony, misdemeanor, juvenile, criminal traffic and traffic cases in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Lake, Polk & Sumter counties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience litigating criminal matters
  • Significant prior trial experience at the felony level
  • Willingness to travel to Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Lake, Polk & Sumter counties from Orlando as necessary to manage the caseload
  • Former public sector experience is preferred
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • Must be a hard-working, self-motivated team player who is committed to providing the highest level of representation to their clients, both in and out of the courtroom
  • Excellent client management skills, communication skills, and the willingness to communicate regularly with clients and their family members
