Job Details

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Associate Attorney, you will be expected to:

1. Represent clients in all aspects of workers' compensation claims, from initial filing through appeal.
2. Research and analyze complex legal issues relating to workers' compensation law.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
4. Conduct and defend depositions.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
6. Advocate for clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
7. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases.
8. Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation law and regulations.
9. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a workers' compensation attorney, workers' comp attorney, or work injury attorney.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
5. Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
7. Ability to handle a high caseload and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing superior client service.
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
