Our law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work on complex legal matters, contribute to our team's successes, and further develop your legal skills. The successful candidate will have a strong background in general liability defense litigation, legal research and writing, and be admitted to the New York State Bar.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to:

1. Handle a wide range of general liability defense litigation issues.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and court proceedings.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and contracts with precision and accuracy.
4. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments in the most compelling and persuasive manner.
5. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, while also managing your own case load.
6. Maintain updated knowledge of New York State laws, regulations, and legal practices.
7. Provide sound legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal concepts in an understandable manner.
8. Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the New York State Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on general liability defense litigation.
4. Proven experience in legal research and writing, with a strong attention to detail.
5. Exceptional litigation skills, with experience in presenting cases in court.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
8. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Willingness to continue learning and improving legal skills.
