We're looking to make a long-term addition to the team by adding an Assistant Superintendent.

For reference, upcoming projects include a large Corporate Office Building in South Texas and an 800-bed County Jail in Midland, TX.

Job Details:
Our company, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide-variety of large scale construction projects, working closely with our team of skilled professionals to ensure the successful completion of our projects. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our operations, overseeing the daily activities on the construction site, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact in their role.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Superintendent in coordinating and supervising all construction activities.
2. Direct and coordinate workers' activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, payroll, and
recordkeeping.
3. Collaborate with the project team to ensure all work is executed safely, on time, and within budget.
4. Monitor and ensure quality control for all work performed on site, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and industry
standards.
5. Assist in the preparation of project schedules, subcontractor coordination meetings, and project status reports.
6. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, including the establishment and enforcement of site safety protocols.
7. Address and resolve any issues, conflicts, or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
8. Assist with the training and development of field personnel.
9. Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records, document all necessary project details.
10. Willingness to travel to projects throughout TX as needed.

Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent working directly for a General Contractor.
2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
3. Strong understanding of construction methods, safety, and the ability to control the complete construction process.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
6. Proficient with construction related software (MS Office, MS Project etc.).
7. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum
efficiency.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
9. Knowledge of OSHA standards and other safety protocols in the construction industry.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in plans.
11. Ability to travel when necessary.
