JOB DESCRIPTION:

SBI Consultants Inc is currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team. Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated process(es) or a project to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally and reporting to the Project Manager or supervisor of their findings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the process or project.

• Supports in the Direction and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

• Prepares the status reports for the Project Manager review; information to be contained such as: progress, schedule and identification items that poses a risk to the schedule and budget (project risk items).

• Confers with project personnel to obtain technical advice in the resolution of problems.

• Coordinates process and/or project activities with government agencies having jurisdiction.

• Supports Business Development efforts: acts as company ambassador, stays aware of possible opportunities to expand client services offerings, participates in proposal preparation work etc.

• Provide technical support and expertise to client/project when assigned.

• APM may be assigned to coordinate and/or supervise Project Engineers and/or other team members.

• Must be able to perform Project Engineer duties, such as:

    • Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements.
    • Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.
    • Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly and other.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor and/or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university. 3 to 6 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing a process on a large project or managing a small project is a plus.

Successful candidate must be a problem solver and a team player, who is able to manage time, plan and prioritize assignments to meet clients' demands and project(s) deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

COMPENSATION:

Offered rate of compensation will commensurate with individual education, qualifications, experience, skills and work location. Salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually plus Performance Bonus & Profit Sharing Bonus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/to move up to 10lb and rarely lift and/or move up to 25lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision.
