Position: Assistant Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year (Pay offered may vary based on qualifications and experience)

Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a background in Civil Engineering to join our team in Greenwood Village, Colorado. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and various stakeholders to assist in managing Land Development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to effectively communicate with project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing Land Development projects, overseeing tasks such as grading, drainage, roads, utilities, and erosion control design.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and clients to integrate schedules, design deliverables, and scopes of work.
  • Contribute to the development of fee proposals for civil design projects.
  • Work within a team environment, directing junior engineers and designers as necessary.
  • Perform engineering tasks related to residential, commercial, multi-family, industrial, and municipal projects.
  • Monitor and supervise project technical staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the design team.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.
  • Adhere to project management systems, procedures, and reporting protocols.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and client expectations throughout project phases.
  • Manage and report on multiple tasks and projects of varying complexity.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project and client stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist with external communications and invoicing.
  • Apply analytical skills to project approaches, standards, and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including presentations, proposal preparation, and estimating work.
  • Uphold professionalism, integrity, and business ethics.
  • Lead small to midsize projects as a lead engineer.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of combined experience in civil site design and project management.
  • Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Experience in Land Development design and engineering.
  • Ability to lead small to medium size projects with a focus on profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Capacity to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without distraction.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
