Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of the construction process from project inception to completion.
2. Oversee and manage project development, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing project progress.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their contractual obligations.
4. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects.
5. Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including identifying potential issues and proactively suggesting mitigating actions.
6. Review and manage contracts, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions.
7. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
8. Communicate effectively and consistently with stakeholders, including clients, construction teams, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status.
9. Support the Project Manager in presenting reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions to stakeholders and team members.
10. Contribute to creating a positive and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is required.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in construction management or a related field.
3. Proven experience in contract management and a strong understanding of legal aspects in construction.
4. Proficient in construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
5. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
6. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Knowledge of building codes, safety laws, and regulations.
10. Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
