The School of Graduate & Continuing Studies at Alfred University is delighted to announce a search for a full-time tenure track position in our APA-accredited PsyD and NASP-accredited specialist School Psychology Program. We are seeking a candidate to begin in August of 2024, at the Assistant Professor level. Information about the highly acclaimed programs within our division can be found at The salary range for this position is $48,000 to $55,000, depending on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Specific duties and responsibilities will include: teaching graduate-level courses (9 credits per semester). Three credits of coursework each semester would be dedicated to supervising students in our campus-based training clinic, the Child & Family Services Center. Faculty are also expected to advise graduate students, supervise doctoral dissertation committees, participate in administration and scoring of graduate qualifying exams, and to maintain a consistent and sustained record of peer-reviewed scholarship. Faculty will be expected to engage in graduate student recruitment and participate in a collegial manner in the life of the University through participation in program, division, school, and/or university service. REQUIREMENTS We seek candidates with an earned doctorate (by August 2024) in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will be licensed as a psychologist in NY or license eligible in NY, and capable of becoming licensed within two years of hire. The School Psychology program features a specialist-level program that is fully accredited by NASP, and a doctorate Psy.D.) program that is fully accredited by APA The School Psychology program has a student-focused practitioner-scientist model and aims to prepare uniquely qualified health professionals who promote the learning, behavior, and mental health of children and youth. The School Psychology program is part of Alfred University's School of Graduate & Continuing Studies, which is comprised of three divisions: Counseling & School Psychology CSP), which houses on-campus graduate programs, AUNY, which houses graduate and undergraduate extension programs in Corning, NY and the Greater NYC area, and The Lea Powell Institute for Children and Families. The CSP division contains programs in School Counseling (MSEd/CAS), Mental Health Counseling (MSEd/CAS), School Psychology (MA/CAS/PsyD), and College Student Development MSEd).
