Position Details Position Information Position Title Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy & Neurology Department PHYSICAL THERAPY Position Category Faculty Job Description The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine - Knoxville is searching for a full- or part-time core faculty member who will contribute to the Programs research, teaching, and service missions. The ideal applicant will be pursuing a scholarly agenda in neurologic rehabilitation, have college and/or clinical teaching experience and demonstrate evidence of professional service. Rank commensurate with credentials and experience. Salary and start-up support are negotiable. The anticipated start date for this position is May 2021. Required Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree (DPT) or BSPT/MSPT with academic doctorate - Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Tennessee, or eligible to obtain licensure by May 2021 - Relevant clinical experience in neurologic rehabilitation - At least 3 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist - Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a clinical setting or at the college level - Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion - Ability to work independently, but demonstrated ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team - Strong commitment to student learning and success Preferred Qualifications Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD, DHSc, etc.) in relevant field.
