POSITION SUMMARY The Nursing Faculty position in our charming academic institution located in a small quant town presents a unique opportunity to contribute to nursing education while enjoying the benefits of a close-knit community and small class sizes. RESPONSIBILITIES Small Class Instruction: Embrace the advantages of small class sizes by providing intimate and focused instruction to nursing students. With the ability to connect with each student individually, you will tailor your teaching approach to meet their specific needs and learning styles, fostering a deeper understanding of nursing concepts and principles. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the nursing department and fellow faculty members to develop a curriculum that reflects the unique needs of a smaller community and aligns with current industry standards. By customizing the program to local healthcare demands, you will equip students to address the healthcare challenges prevalent in the region. Student Support and Mentorship: Build strong relationships with students, providing academic and professional guidance throughout their academic journey. By serving as a mentor, you will empower students to achieve their full potential and instill in them the values of compassion, dedication, and excellence in nursing practice. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Embrace the advantages of a close-knit academic community by collaborating with faculty members from other disciplines. Your contributions will enrich the interdisciplinary approach to healthcare education and strengthen the integration of nursing principles with other healthcare specialties. Clinical Supervision and Community Engagement: Facilitate meaningful clinical experiences for students within the town and surrounding areas. Engage with local healthcare facilities to create partnerships that enhance students' exposure to diverse patient populations while making a positive impact on the community's well-being. Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and accreditation guidelines. Assist in the preparation of program accreditation reports and participate in program evaluation activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursing program. Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities that contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and the profession. Pursue research opportunities that address the unique healthcare challenges faced by rural and underserved populations, furthering the impact of nursing practice within the quant town and beyond. Active Community Involvement: Embrace the spirit of the quant town by actively engaging with the community outside of the academic setting. Your involvement in local events and initiatives will strengthen the bond between the nursing program and the town, promoting a sense of belonging and mutual support. REQUIREMENTS Education, Certification, and Licensure MSN Graduate degree in nursing required. Earned doctorate in nursing or higher education-related field preferred. Active and unrestricted nursing license in the relevant jurisdiction. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty area. Prior experience in nursing education or clinical instruction is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice, healthcare trends, and clinical skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in using educational technology and simulation equipment. Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in nursing education. Familiarity with rural and underserved healthcare settings, with an understanding of the unique challenges faced by small communities.
