Job Description: Alfred State (SUNY) seeks nursing educators eligible for appointment to a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank. All full-time faculty members develop course materials and teach and evaluate students in the classroom, on-campus lab, and/or clinical facility. Faculty members also advise students, are active members of departmental and college committees, engage in professional development, and assist with curriculum development, program assessment, recruiting of students, and promoting the Nursing Program. Alfred State's Nursing Department has held a reputation for graduating excellent RN practitioners for half a century. Our associate and bachelor degree programs are accreditated by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Alfred State's Department of Nursing currently has nine full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty, two support staff, and a team of clinical adjunct instructors and lecturers. The department is housed in a renovated, state-of-the-art classroom and laboratory building equipped with ten moderate fidelity and two high fidelity computerized simulation mannequins. Position to be filled for Fall 2024. Requirements: Requirements: A MSN in Nursing is required The successful candidate will have excellent teaching, clinical, computer and communication skills; critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Experience with simulation is also desirable. NYS Professional Nursing license and current CPR certification required. Candidates with experience in psychiatric care are encouraged to apply.
