The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Colby-Sawyer College is seeking TWO outstanding and highly motivated faculty members to join the school, beginning in Fall 2024. We are looking for innovative, energetic nursing educators to teach and provide leadership in our nursing graduate programs. Applications for tenure-track, full-time faculty positions beginning in Fall 2024 are now being accepted. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences consists of diverse undergraduate and graduate academic programs, outstanding faculty and a strong community partnership with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. Our newly developed Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs are seeking educators with a strong record in Management, Leadership, and Clinical Practice. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences serves over 300 students majoring in undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing, Exercise Science, and Health Science. The school has on-line degree completion programs in Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science (RN-BS) and a newly formed Registered Respiratory Therapist to Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (RRT- BSRT). The school has a CCNE fully accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with three tracks: Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Nursing Education and Nursing Management & Executive Leadership. The DNP degree Program prepares graduates for career advancement in healthcare leadership, advanced clinical care or health policy, and offers a path to a career as a nurse executive, clinical educator or clinical scientist. In addition, the school also offers an Associate of Science in Health Science (ASHS) degree. Preference will be given to candidates with professional work experience in a nursing environment related to the teaching areas. The position includes teaching, advising, graduate program coordination, active scholarship and school/college service responsibilities. A doctoral degree (Ph.D./DNP/Ed.D.) is required for DNP faculty. A master's degree is required for MSN faculty. Demonstrate and possess a strong record of collegiate teaching. A philosophy of education consistent with Colby-Sawyer's programs and mission are required. Program coordination and leadership preferred. Expert clinician who has a strong desire for an academic appointment focused on advancing knowledge through integrating teaching, clinical practice, scholarship, and service. Strong interest in mentoring and advising graduate students.
