Position: Assistant Nurse Manager - Surgery Services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Operational Management: Assist the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day management of unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Patient Throughput: Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow and ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
  • Resource Utilization: Monitor and evaluate the appropriate use of clinical and financial resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staff Development: Participate in the selection, onboarding, and evaluation of nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of practice.
  • Policy Interpretation: Interpret and implement hospital policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence across the unit.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
    • Current Washington Registered Nurse License
    • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
    • 4+ years of nursing experience within the past 5 years
