About the Role:
Contributes to overseeing the external reporting process, involving the preparation and examination of external financial statements and associated disclosures. Requires a comprehensive grasp of financial statements and proficiency in analytical tools to compile, scrutinize, and assess financial statement movements. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment that is susceptible to ongoing changes. Proactive and detail-oriented, ensuring the production of precise financial statements while fostering effective communication with colleagues across departments and business units. Knowledgeable in fundamental principles, norms, and methodologies within the accounting and financial reporting domain. Relies on expertise and discernment to strategize and achieve objectives. Executes a diverse range of tasks under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with team members to manage the financial reporting process, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues in the Financial Reporting Rotational program.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between external auditors and our reporting team.
  • Prepare and meticulously review financial statements and accompanying footnotes for regulatory filings.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis and research on various transactions and events across corporate and business unit locations.
  • Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments as required.
  • Assist in compiling schedules to support audits, quarterly reviews, and SEC filings.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment and disclosure for non-recurring transactions such as acquisitions and disposals.
  • Foster regular communication and collaboration with other departments including financial planning, treasury, tax, IT, and investor relations.
  • Actively contribute to or lead special projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient with 10-K and 10-Q reporting.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and efficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a large multinational corporation or similar environment.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiarity with accounting research tools and ability to analyze technical accounting guidance.
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing certification is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with financial consolidation software like OneStream is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Background in SEC reporting would be beneficial.
