Sewickley Academy is seeking to hire an Assistant Hockey Coach. The part-time head coach is responsible for working closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement training programs, strategies, and tactics to help our student-athletes achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and games
- Develop and implement training programs to improve the skills and performance of our student-athletes
- Provide guidance and support to student-athletes both on and off the ice
- Help maintain a positive and respectful team culture
- Attend all team meetings, practices, and games
- Assist with equipment management and maintenance
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
Requirements:
- Previous experience coaching hockey
- Strong knowledge of the game of hockey and coaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach
- Passion for working with student-athletes and helping them achieve their goals
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid or the willingness to acquire these certifications
