Opening with our client for an Assistant GIS Manager
Responsibilities
Assist in managing and maintaining GIS databases, data layers, and mapping applications.
Support the development and implementation of GIS projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to integrate GIS data into engineering and consulting projects.
Conduct spatial analyses and create visualizations to support project planning and decision-making.
Provide technical support and training to staff on GIS software and tools.
Assist in the development and implementation of GIS standards and procedures.
Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and trends.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or GIS.
5-7+ years of civil engineering experience with a substantial focus on GIS.
Experience working with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
GIS certificate is a plus.
