Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center has an opportunity at our detox/residential treatment center located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. We have a current position open for a Substance Abuse Counselor. The position of Assistant Director of Clinical Services is an integral component of our multidisciplinary treatment team for substance abuse treatment. This position requires a thorough understanding of facility's treatment program, philosophy and a strong working knowledge of various aspects of chemical dependency. The ideal candidate must demonstrate extensive knowledge of substance abuse treatment. Essential functions include but are not limited to: Evaluates program quality according to standards. Participates in overall department change and development. Provides rotating on call coverage for department. Assesses and addresses the needs of the various programs participating in overall treatment program changes and developments, meeting and conferring with other directors, physicians and standing committees to formulate treatment policies and management of resources. Ensures staff documentation, didactic feedback in staffing, 1:1's with clients and staff demonstrates accurate insight to the disease concept of chemical dependency disorders. Performs group counseling, individual counseling and family counseling when necessary. Participates in ongoing supervision of clients and ensures that client needs are being met. Ensures medical records are maintained according to facility, state, federal and accreditation guidelines. Represents counseling services in attending multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, weekly treatment plan review meetings and department head meetings. Provides clinical supervision to appropriate assigned staff. Reviews aftercare plans and makes recommendations. Participates in public relation efforts as appropriate, including media coverage and participation in state and national professional organizations. Monitors quality of weekend family Program and suggests implementation of necessary changes / improvements. Supports direct line staff team by working shifts with them and providing additional coverage. Qualifications: Education - Master's Degree OR Addiction certification required. Two or more year's clinical experience with the population of the facility. Experience - 2-3 years of experience in the substance abuse treatment field preferred. Licenses- Current Driver's License with good driving record Certifications- CPR & CPI (provided at the facility) Age/Gender Specifics- Ability to work with adult male and female chemically dependent populations. Applicants must have a valid driver's license with no DUI's on their record for the past 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
