About the Organization Seeking an Assistant Controller:

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:
- Coordinating the month-end close including analyzing general ledger accounts and approving transactions
- Managing daily cash flow and reconciliation
- Supervising accounts payable including signing checks and overseeing the AP staff
- Overseeing the organization's fixed asset system
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Establishing and monitoring internal controls
- Managing the annual audit and acting as the primary contact between financial staff and the external audit team
Background Expected of the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or experience equivalent (4 years)
- 5+ years of related accounting experience including 2+ years of supervisory experience
- CPA and/or advanced degree is a plus but not required
