Assistant Controller

Position Title: Assistant Controller

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our finance team as an Assistant Controller. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a team.
