Description: Perform onsite management of small retail/commercial remodels Responsible for safety enforcement & safety audits Creating project schedules & coordinating with subcontractors on a daily basis Onsite documentation of activities & reporting updates in project management software Handling submittals, change orders, RFI's, and other related documents Reading blueprints, drawings, site layouts in accordance to specifications Proposing bids and determining the costs of labor and materials for projects Attending client meetings/coordinating with client onsite Daily job-site clean-up/ensuring site is set-up for operation the next day Ensuring site is secure & locked up prior to wrapping up the shift Occasional basic hand/power tool use Skills: construction management, site construction, subcontractor management, Construction Engineering, Construction Inspection, Construction Codes, Construction Drawings, construction safety, construction schedules, site layout, subcontractor relationships, retail, commercial construction, commercial bank, gas station, gis, survey, surveying, site assessment, site safety, osha safety, Change order, Construction, General contractor, Project engineering, Safety, Project management Top Skills Details: construction management,site construction,subcontractor management Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (Associate's a minimum requirement) An internship to 3 years of experience working for a general contractor, or related construction experience Hands-on attitude and ability to work with their hands Must be open to working night shifts, weekends dependent on project Ability to travel around the Chicagoland area for projects Experience Level: Entry Level About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
