Position Details Expiration Date Open Until Filled Department MC Pathology Position Type Faculty Location Shreveport Description The Department of Pathology at LSU Health Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Professor-Research. A research assistant professor/associate professor or professor typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include: Conducting research on topics related to their fields of study Teaching classes in their area of expertise to undergraduate and graduate students Working with other faculty members to develop new courses or curricula, or revise existing ones Maintaining an active research program in their field, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals Performing administrative duties such as overseeing the work of postdoctoral fellows and teaching assistants Participating in academic activities such as attending conferences, seminars, lectures, and workshops related to their field of study Preparing proposals for external funding sources such as foundations or government agencies Providing students with advice on their research projects or thesis topics Reviewing applications for graduate school admission or postdoctoral fellowships Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. The work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
