As an Assistant Aquatics Director, you"ll play a crucial role in managing the operations of our water parks and aquatic center. Your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Supervision and Training: You"ll oversee lifeguards, swim instructors, and other staff working in the aquatics department. This involves hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating their performance to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
  2. Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols is paramount in aquatic facilities. You"ll be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety procedures, emergency response plans, and risk management strategies.
  3. Facility Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance of pool equipment, filtration systems, and other facilities to ensure they are clean, operational, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  4. Program Development: Collaborating with the Aquatics Director to develop and implement aquatic programs such as swim lessons, water fitness classes, and recreational activities. You may also be involved in organizing special events or competitions.
  5. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to patrons by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors to the aquatics facility.
  6. Budget Management: Assisting in the preparation and management of the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses, monitoring spending, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  7. Community Outreach: Engaging with the community to promote aquatic programs and services, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders such as schools, local organizations, and governing bodies.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of aquatics programs and services.
  9. Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies and incidents effectively, including administering first aid, CPR, and water rescue techniques as necessary.
  10. Administrative Tasks: Performing various administrative tasks such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and assisting with strategic planning initiatives.
