Role Description:

Commercial Banking is focused on helping our clients succeed and making a positive difference in our communities. We provide credit and financing, treasury and payment services, international banking and real estate services to clients including corporations, municipalities, institutions, real estate investors and owners, and non-profit organizations.

Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the Commercial Bank and provides lending services to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The organization provides end-to-end lending services including loan documentation; closing and funding; payment and fee processing; syndication loan trade processing; credit administration; collateral perfection and management, customer service; construction management.

As the Business manager for Asset Based Lending Operations, you will play a vital role as a senior and highly visible member of leadership. This role will report directly to the head of Asset Based Lending Operations (ABL Ops) and be responsible for supporting both the day-to-day and strategic objectives of the organization, globally. Working as an integral part of the ABL Ops Senior Leadership Team, the role holder will advocate execution and delivery of a broad spectrum of key initiatives critical to our success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with group head to design and deliver the strategic roadmap and target operating model for ABL Ops globally
  • Partnering with production and finance leads to reimagine and redefine our method for measuring group capacity and headcount requirements
  • Developing a multi-year client delight roadmap with an immediate emphasis on implementing new listening posts to measure client satisfaction
  • Partnering with group head to develop and execute a comprehensive communication agenda to include global town halls, regional all-hands calls, DEI events, in-person location visits, etc
  • Creating new business partner/stakeholder forums and driving executive management content through compelling storytelling and insightful data & analytics.
  • Leading risk & control initiatives to ensure audit/CCOR review readiness
  • Driving our employee readiness strategy with an emphasis on talent retention/acquisition and learning & development
  • Developing our people engagement strategy to support a deep-rooted culture built upon diversity, equity & inclusion
  • Driving connectivity, partnership, and engagement with WLS teams globally

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 10+ years financial services experience gained at a top tier investment/commercial bank
  • Significant experience providing strategic support to large and complex organizations
  • Proven track record in thinking/acting strategically to influence complex business decisions globally
  • Results driven; ability to lead/instill execution; methodical approach to identifying and solving issues
  • Experience managing leaders at Vice President level
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal qualities
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Fortitude, resilience, and determination to lead complex change initiatives
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment within and across functional organizations
  • Confidence to present key updates at senior management forums and executive committees
  • Track record of championing a diverse and inclusive work environment across geographical locations
