The Opportunity: As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our team, you'll a ssist a DoD client with a dispersed workforce, operating in a non-standard, OCONUS location in a bilateral setting to transform their monitoring strategy implementation to more effectively manage continuity, operations, command reporting, resource allocation, and decision-making . You won't go at it alone; y ou will coordinate with the team training manager to support development of measures of effectiveness and measures of performance for training programs of instruction (POI) and establish reliable and repeatable means to track them across a collection of expertise and spanning varied time frames, including weeks, months, or years. You will p roduce written reports and visual depictions of the results of these assessments. We need you to l everage structured problem solving, operations research techniques, and emerging data science expertise while drawing upon experience with warfare modeling and functional and mission level analysis in support of analysis and evaluation activities across the DoD. In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to r esearch and analyze limited areas that require the development of new techniques or the application of techniques to new problems. You'll design and perform detailed data queries and data retrievals, inclu ding data interpretation using SQL, Oracle, or other tools or statistical procedures, including regression analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and cluster analysis. You Have: 5+ years of experience in an OSD, Joint staff, Service Component, or strategic corporate or governmental assessment and analysis role 2+ years of experience with database design, development, implementation, information storage, and retrieval 2+ years of experience with supporting the analytical usage of databases, including using SQL, to create ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros Experience with statistics, mathematics, data engineering, machine learning, or visualization, including creating and maintaining large data sets Ability to articulate methodological expertise using both qualitative and quantitative methods Ability to conceptualize directions, analyze trends, and help develop justification for business decisions using statistical methods on data sets of varied size and complexity Ability to live in a forward location for up to 12 months Ability to apply thought leadership as a subject matter expert within a team comprised of diverse technical backgrounds and expertise TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, CS, Data Science, Science, Technology, or Engineering Nice If You Have: Ability to be a self-starter and work as part of a team or independently within a complex, fast-paced, and cross-disciplinary work environment Ability to commit to an entire assessment cycle, starting from delivery of the preceding assessment to production and delivery of the next annual assessment Possession of excellent team-oriented, team building, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
