Assembly Technician

Job Title: Assembly Technician

Position Type: Full-time 7:00AM - 4:00 PM (1 hour lunch 12:00 -1:00pm)
Reports To: Assembly/Repair Manager

Job Description: Assemble new and repaired seals based upon the requirements of the job by following the 10-step assembly procedure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assembly
Below is a list of the basic functions in the department that must be performed daily. Additional functions may be added if necessary.
Review the job tickets for any special notes or instructions before starting on the job.
Layout the parts required for the job and account for them on the job ticket.
All parts are to be checked on the job ticket and part prints accordingly.
Follow the 10-step procedure for assembling seals and testing.
The job ticket must be signed off on before proceeding to the inspection area.
Work with other departments when issues occur.
Printing and verifying shipping documents for accuracy against job tickets and notes.
Packaging items for shipment or for delivery by placing required labels on boxes.
Verifying all shipping instructions in the UPS system.
When time permits, cross train in other departments such as repair and lapping to help if needed.
Train on the callout procedures to be included in the callout schedule when fully trained.

Position Requirements
Must be on time every day and work a 40-hour week.
Must be detailed orientated.
Must have basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task when necessary.
