Position Summary

This position supports the production process by ensuring parts availability line side and replacing absent Team Members on line as needed. Reports directly to and assist the process Team Leader in striving to meet company goals through compliance with the company's Core Values and the HTGP Guidebook.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain policies and procedures

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Technical:

  • Understands and applies correct LOTO procedures and leads others in same
  • Performs each process in allotted cycle time while complying with SOP
  • Monitors accuracy on SOPs and rack labels
  • Maintains performance standards while achieving quality initiative
  • Assists leadership in implementing Quality Countermeasures
  • Assists in analyzing down time of equipment , process and team member
  • Demonstrates an active understanding of processes and procedures, standards and methods and ensures others demonstrate the same
  • Conducts and support new Team Member and existing Team Member training
  • Understands daily reports and can complete in Team Leader's absence
  • Demonstrates knowledge of equipment including operations such as resetting and simple trouble shooting
  • Maintains 5'S within assigned block and assists others as needed in same

Leadership:

  • Back up for Team Leader
  • Supports leadership direction and decisions
  • Takes appropriate initiative to eliminate production obstacles
  • Establishes positive relationship with Team Members

Education

  • High School / GED (required)
  • Associates degree (preferred )

Equivalent work related experience (equivalency is figured generally as 2 years' experience equaling 1 year of formal education) may be considered in addition to the "Position Requirement".

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years relevant job related experience required.
  • Overtime required as needed.
  • Assembly experience is required.

Other Information

  • Rotate shifts (Mandatory)
  • Tier-1 Automotive (transmission) experience preferred.
  • Cross Cultural Experience is preferred
  • Position may require domestic or international travel.
  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Not all Line Support employees will receive computer access to complete Team Leader back-up duties. Special circumstances will dictate when Line Support employees will receive computer access.
