Job Type: Full-time Essential Job Functions: Use accepted methods to inspect, sample and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for the purpose of quality control. Sample and test HMA mixtures for compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerances. Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer. Perform functions as Inspector/Technician for MDOT projects. Perform calibration and maintenance of lab equipment. Conduct routine Quality Control and product specification compliance tests. Prepare and record accurate information; Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned. Prepare and communicate our quality control plan to the appropriate staff as needed Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies as needed to perform the function of the position. Communicate results and findings to the appropriate personnel within the organization. Represent the company in a respectable manner with customers. Troubleshoot production concerns with the aggregate and/or asphalt production staff. Obtain / Maintain certifications as required by the Maine DOT and/ or other customers.
