AR/Staff Accountant

Job Summary: Our growing nonprofit medical research organization located north of Lowry is seeking a detail-oriented and sharp AR/Staff Accountant to join our team. The AR/Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the AR and making sure that everything is posted correctly. Reporting to the Controller and working within a team, the AR/Staff Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This is a hybrid role with no overtime required.
AR/Staff Accountant Duties:
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy
- Ensure that everything is posted to the right accounts.
- Create invoices based on current customer contracts
- Billing, research
- Reconcile accounts to ensure proper accounting of transactions
- Assist in the month and year-end close processes
- Utilize Excel, including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
- Assist in audit preparation activities
- Perform other accounting duties as needed
AR/Staff Accountant Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Any prior experience in the healthcare sector is a plus
- Familiarity with Sage accounting software is a plus
Additional information for the AR/Staff Accountant role:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with flexibility)
- Hybrid schedule (ability to work remotely 1-2 days/week)
- Business-casual work environment
