AR Staff Accountant Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented AR Staff Accountant to take the helm of their accounts receivable operations
This critical role involves managing a high volume of monthly payments from a diverse customer base, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and the seamless automation of payment processes
Your expertise will play a pivotal role in the financial health and operational efficiency of our company, providing you with ample opportunities to drive improvements and leave a lasting impact.

Key AR Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

- Efficient management and application of monthly payments across various channels, including ACH, phone payments through ACH, checks, online payment portals, and wire transfers.
- Spearheading the automation of the payment processing system to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Precise posting of payments, terminations of assets/leases, and final payments in the system.
- Execution of journal entries related to payment processes, asset terminations, and lease finalizations.
- Active management of collections on delinquent accounts, particularly leading up to month-end close.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline AR operations and increase efficiency.

AR Staff Accountant Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field, or equivalent work experience in a high-volume AR role.
- Prior experience in the mortgage or financing industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a keen aptitude for learning new systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to work collaboratively within a team.
