Title: Business Development/Account Manager - CMS Location: Hybrid - Must reside in the Washington, D.C. National Capital Region Company Background

Role: The account manager is responsible for organic growth and winning new business by leveraging our capabilities and contracts. A successful candidate will operate as an integral member of the growth team, partnering with operations/delivery and functional teams. The selected candidate is responsible for developing a broad knowledge of the customer and competitors while maintaining dynamic market awareness. He/she will evaluate market trends and develop business cases that align with customer's requirements. This position will report to the VP of Growth. Duties: Create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that align with the company's strategic campaigns that result in meaningful and measurable revenue growth.
Achieve sales goals through winning new business.
Interface with customer and partner communities.
Build customer relationships through effective communications.
Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating solutions, capabilities, and acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities while working with internal teams.
Lead the proposal team in the development of technical and business proposal responses.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred. A master's degree is a plus.
Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Development or other leadership role. (Program Lead or Technical Lead) focusing on CMS.
Experience with CMS and its mission.
Current familiarity with the vendor community.
Experience leading business pursuits through opportunity identification, qualification, capture, and proposal phases.
Highly effective communicator both verbal and written to all levels within the company and with clients.
Must be motivated and self-driven.
Must Have: The candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
US Citizenship is Required.
Travel may be required, as dictated by business needs.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of IDIQs, BPA, and GWACs that this agency uses.
Understanding and knowledge of IT services, Human Capital, and Training solutions. and experience selling to the client.
Business/financial management expertise.
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Leadership skills in directing pursuit and/or delivery teams.
