Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing technical advice and support to customers and our sales team, ensuring the optimal application of our product range. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to customers and Area Sales Managers regarding inquiries related to our product range, with support from the Engineering Department as needed.
  • Prepare, analyze, and send technical and commercial offers and order confirmations for products, components, and parts.
  • Support Asset-Management transformer projects by analyzing, specifying, re-configuring, and/or designing electrical circuits of control cabinets.
  • Coordinate and monitor order progress, ensuring timely delivery and invoicing.
  • Offer post-sales technical support and service, including handling complaints and disruptions with the assistance of the Service department.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on technical specifications, maintenance strategies, and technical issues to customers and at conferences.

Position Type and Expected Hours: This full-time role requires a Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, with occasional overtime and travel.

Work Environment: The role is office-based, utilizing standard office equipment. Field visits requiring driving, walking, climbing, and wearing PPE are part of the job. Travel by car or plane, ranging from 10-20%, is expected.

What We Expect From You:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Engineering degree in electrical or electro-mechanical fields.
  • Experience with power transformers and Load Tap Changers is preferred.

Required Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Credibility, flexibility, and the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Business-fluent English; additional languages (especially German, Spanish, French) are a plus.
  • Proficient in understanding processes, systems, and electrical diagrams.
  • Willingness to travel and effectively evaluate, prioritize, and organize customer inquiries.
  • Strong customer orientation.
