TITLE: Application Engineer

LOCATION: Langhorne, PA

ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for maintaining technical expertise in products and applications

Providing inside sales support to customers

Assisting field sales engineering and representatives

Troubleshooting field issues, assist with start-ups, and provide training

Contributing to special marketing projects for website, sales literature, instructions, new product development, and foreign markets

Managing and oversee special projects and large orders

Developing and maintaining deep knowledge of products and applications

Troubleshooting field problems via phone or on-site visits as needed

Handling inquiries via phone, email, and fax for product selection assistance and quotations

Reviewing quotations and order folders for accuracy and resolving issues

Traveling to customer sites for application assistance or drive installations

Documenting daily activities in the field to maintain clear records of customer events

Establishing and maintaining project schedules

Training and mentoring application engineers

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

7-10 years of industrial experience in an electro-mechanical role preferred

Strong electro-mechanical aptitude

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to travel

Desirable experience in industrial instrumentation and process control

Background in control valve application, selection, and actuation highly desirable

Contract experience considered a plus

Knowledge of process industries such as electric, utilities, steel, aluminum, water/wastewater, oil/gas, and pulp and paper highly desirable
