Job Title: Support Specialist
5 days on site in NYC or Morristown, NJ
Job Description:
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to manage expectations, address issues, requests, and changes via the Service Now ticketing system.
Install, maintain, and monitor Client Service Applications (Windows/Virtual Machines) to ensure optimal performance.
Mentor Application Support Specialists on best practices and support-related tasks to enhance team expertise.
Proactively manage incidents, lead root cause analysis efforts, and debug files related to application usage.
Provide support for the company's systems across datacenters and cloud environments.
Ensure company's applications are maintained to support service delivery, resilience, and uptime performance.
Conduct quality assurance testing of new application software releases and patches before production deployment.
Collaborate with product vendors to support both SAAS and on-premises systems.
Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated application systems, identifying trends and issues.
Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance team service levels.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for application systems, including reviews, runbooks, knowledge documents, and improvement recommendations.
Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field.
Minimum of five years related technical application support experience, primarily in banking and/or financial services.
