Who we are looking for State Street is looking for an application developer with 5+ years' experience for the Multi Currency Horizon Accounting Team, a part of Global Technology Services. This is a hands-on development position for a candidate with proven record of software development and execution excellence.
The candidate has experience in Financial Services, Accounting and has supported Front/Middle/Back-office business units/clients. The Application Developer will be a completely hands-on developer, developing in SQL, PL1, Cobol, will be able to provide production support for implemented solutions and will work with cross-functional teams The candidate has excellent development and problem-solving skills, someone with creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.
What you will be responsible for - Total years of experience must include some Financial technology and at least 3 years of experience with Db2
- Demonstrated experience with COBOL, PL/I, SQL, JCL, MQ, CICS, DB2, JIRA and RTC
- Proven knowledge of financial services and accounting
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to the business needs;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, both written and orally;
- Proven ability to be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation; and
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet aggressive timelines.
Education & Preferred Qualifications - B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+years of experience in Information Technology
- Experience in financial industry working on Front, Middle, Back Office functions.
- Experience in agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required
- Strong team ethics and team player.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) both internally and with vendors.
- Focus and desire to deliver high quality service.
- Ability to work in a high pressured and time sensitive environment
Additional requirements - This is a hybrid position - 4 days in office, 1 day work from home

Salary Range: $90,000 - $142,500 Annual
