Title: Application Architecture Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 7 week contract
Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the discovery and analysis of applications within a newly acquired company. This role involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of the application landscape, ensuring compliance, evaluating business criticality, and documenting the technical architecture.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT systems analysis, application discovery, and technical documentation, particularly within the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
Application Discovery and Inventory:
•  Identify and catalog all applications within the acquired companys environment
•  Determine the deployment model (on-premises, SaaS, cloud, etc.).
•  Identify the user base for each application (technicians, field personnel, payroll, etc.) Compliance and Support Assessment:
•  Evaluate the compliance status of each application with relevant regulations and standards.
•  Identify current support structures for these applications, including internal and external support teams. Integration and Business Criticality Analysis:
•  Map out the integrations between applications and other systems.
•  Assess the business criticality of each application.
•  Evaluate the scalability of the applications and their use cases. Technical Documentation and Diagramming:
•  Create detailed technical diagrams illustrating the interconnectedness of applications and systems within the environment.
•  Document current state architecture and current pain points. Qualifications :
•  Bachelor's degree.
•  Extensive experience in IT systems analysis and application discovery.
•  Proven track record in conducting thorough application inventories and assessments in complex IT environments
•  Strong understanding of compliance requirements for publicly traded companies.
•  Expertise in creating technical documentation and diagrams.
•  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
