Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a Manufacturing company, seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Wakefield, MA.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Accurately post invoices into the system, verifying for accuracy and ensuring proper allocation of account codes
- Manage non-purchase order invoices, facilitating approval processes within the department
- Proactively resolve invoice discrepancies and issues prior to payment processing
- Audit and review employee travel and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies
- Facilitate the setup of new suppliers and maintain supplier profiles, updating information as necessary
- Verify and manage all third-party banking information to ensure accuracy and security
- Reconcile third-party statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Generate weekly payment proposals, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments
- Enter and reconcile all in-transit invoices at month-end to maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting requirements
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the finance team and overall business operations
Background expected of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Associates degree or experience equivalent
- Prior experience of an ERP system preferred but not required
