Adecco is assisting a client in recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Oceanside, CA. Here is your chance to be creative in finding solutions for this temp-to-hire opportunity.
The duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist include:
- Receiving, sorting, and reviewing invoices to ensure proper account codes, object codes, discounts, payment terms, and vendor status.
- Verifying that invoice vouchers are matched to the appropriate purchase order, have valid shipment and receiving dates, and required approval signatures.
- Processing journal vouchers to the General Ledger using JDE Software and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, including ensuring consistency of service dates for payment.
- Coordinating weekly accounts payable check runs to ensure timely payments, particularly with discount suppliers.
- Assisting in vendor set-ups, maintaining master vendor files, preparing vendor account analyses, and submitting accurate accruals information monthly.
- Establishing and maintaining a moderately complex record and filing system for accounts payable invoices.
- Handling Year-End Tax Filings such as 1099s.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Associate of Arts degree in Accounting or Business Administration; 2 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Prior AP experience within a global company and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and JD Edwards as well as other accounting software applications

Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
