AP/AR Specialist:

Key AP/AR Specialist Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:
- Efficiently process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in coding and approvals.
- Prepare and execute weekly payment batches.
- Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle vendor queries with professionalism and timeliness.
- Contribute to month-end closing procedures and reporting.

Accounts Receivable:
- Accurately generate and dispatch a portion of customer invoices.
- Monitor receivables, ensuring timely collections and follow-ups on overdue accounts.
- Process payments via various methods such as checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
- Reconcile customer statements and address any billing issues.
- Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Proactively track and manage overdue accounts.
- Engage with customers to resolve pending payment issues effectively.

AP/AR Specialist role in Process Improvement and Compliance and Controls:
- Identify and suggest improvements to streamline AP/AR processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Process improvement documentation, including supporting audit activities, and formulation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Internal controls compliance

AP/AR Specialist Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrable full-cycle accounts payable experience is a must.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and effective application in a corporate setting.
- Proficient with larger accounting software platforms, and other systems like MS Office Suite.
- Must embrace technology - not afraid of multiple systems.
- Outstanding organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and an inquisitive mindset are crucial.
- Strong internal controls awareness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team setup.
