About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a veteran-owned government contractor
- Founded in the 1990's, a well-established leader in the industry
- This position will work closely under the Controller and President - seasoned leaders with extensive government contracting accounting experience
- Position will have a hybrid schedule after the initial training period
- Our client needs additional accounting support due to the current workload
AP Accountant
Responsibilities:
- AP Accountant will be the sole person responsible for AP. Will man AP inbox, log in invoices, and make sure the invoices are approved.
- AP Accountant will make payments via ACH, credit card, and check. Must keep this process organized and make sure all approvals are made for invoices to be paid on time.
- AP Accountant will be responsible for credit card allocations and where to allocate costs
- Volume of this position: 15-20 items/week (not including credit cards). Credit card allocation volume is a few hundred rows per credit card holder.
- AP Accountant will record, verify, and allocate the AP into the GL
- AP Accountant will complete account reconciliations
- AP Accountant will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested
Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- 3+ years AP experience (in not degreed, must have 4+ years AP experience)
- Previous government contracting experience is preferred but NOT required
- Previous Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus but NOT required
- Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
