Preference will be given to candidates based in the DMV area who can come 2-3 days onsite in Owings Mills, MD. If not in DMV then look for EST based candidates who are ready to relocate.

They have a platform based on Ansible that supports multiple projects, they have been funded to accelerate deployment and automation to assist other teams leverage those capabilities.
He currently manages 4 ppl on this team that support the platform, user adopting/ advocacy, agile format.
They currently utilize Jira/ confluence to track work, looking for 2 resources util the end of the year to join their team to assist end users with automation.
Primary skill in Ansible playbooks and roles, knowledge on how to use software dev tools such as GitLab to manage ansible content in repository, working with end users: engage, collect requirements, deliver the ansible playbooks that meet the users requirements.
In order to implement ansible automation, it is important to have some domain expertise either with windows, unix or infra/ app any enterprise would have. Some users have cloud platforms: should have some knowledge automating within cloud, most of the automation is on-prem infra (vmware, cisco gear, etc.)
JD is up to date on what they need, must haves are Ansible (playbook development): take reqs and convert to ansible playbook to automate the process, SDLC using git, testing playbooks to make sure they work properly, adhering to deployment rules (not deploying during business hours to not impact active users, etc.), gather requirements, understand the user needs, etc.
Overall 5 years or more, the more the better with Ansible.
Would like to see resumes showcasing the type of automation they have done in the past: different technologies, SDLC capabilities, etc.
Ansible tower is a redhat product, they are using AWX- just the updated name (Ansible Tower/ automation platform)

Ansible Automation DevOps Engineer role overview
Our client is looking for an Ansible Automation DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team. This individual will play an active role collaborating with stakeholders by gathering IT Infrastructure requirements, designing, prototyping, demonstrating and implementing automated workflows utilizing Ansible open-source development processes, tools and internal and external automation resources.
Role profile
Independent and self-motivated contributor collaborating closely with technical members within our department and across other departments using Agile methodology.
Promote, design, prototype, demo, implement and support Infrastructure Automation projects utilizing Ansible, AWX, Event-Driven Ansible, GitLab and SDLC processes to promote automation development for the organization.
Participate in cross-functional projects as Ansible and AWX subject matter expert.
Conceptualize, present, prototype, and develop automation solutions.
Employ Ansible and DevOps principles and tools to automate processes and workflows.
Document designs, policies and procedures based on industry best practices.
Develop runbooks for users to execute Ansible automation playbooks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to train and hand-over automation playbooks.
Provide support to users and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve errors.
